   Hand Altered Polaroid Images   

   What is a Hand Altered Polaroid Image?  

Some Polaroid film pigments can be manipulated by hand with a wooden tool directly on the surface of the print for up to 5 hours after the photo was taken. The pressure of the tool distorts the photo and creates a "painterly" effect. When the desired look is achieved, color dan be added by hand painting. When complete, the now altered 3x3 inch polaroid is scanned onto a disc, and can be printed in any desired size. This alteration can be done digitally, but I prefer to work by hand.
